SPJ CLUB MEETING
The Society of Professional Journalist meeting was very interesting. I really enjoyed sitting in, and listening to Stacy McCloud tell her story. However, I do not know if I could stomach the tale about the after math of Katrina she was telling.
After the meeting I spoke with McCloud and asked her: “Would you do it again?” She said, “Yes, I hope we all are better prepared next time. I was shocked very much but I would go again and report.”
Indeed, Paul Brown from channel 10 News was equipped when I asked him: “What did you do during this hurricane?” He said, “I am the Assignment manager. I helped coordinate crews to Katrina.”
Indeed, these Reporters and Managers really grabbed my attention when they talked about what they did during disasters. When I finish my career, I hope to be as good as they sound in reporting.
As for now, I will keep up with my last class in Media Management. Indeed, in the near future I would like to be apart of PSJ CLUB. Seeing people with the same interest, made me really happy that I am a Journalism Electronic Media Student.
